Role Description:
The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of the company’s operational strategy ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and values. This leader will manage day-to-day operations, streamline processes, and drive growth while maintaining a strong focus on supply chain, manufacturing, planning, product quality, customer satisfaction, and team development. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with design, marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure operational excellence and scalability. This person will report directly to the founder and CEO, to ensure a seamless internal operation and a supply chain that scales to meet the needs of a fast-growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and optimize the end-to-end supply chain, including inventory management, logistics, and production efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, vendor agreements, and brand guidelines.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage operational budgets with the accounting team, aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Oversee procurement processes, including strategic vendor negotiations, cash flow optimization, and contract management.
- Manage and regularly evaluate supplier and vendor performance to maintain consistent service and product quality.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement comprehensive preventative measures to minimize disruptions.
- Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Leverage performance data and market insights to identify growth opportunities and prevent, or reduce operational risk to the business.
- Adjust operational strategies to align with evolving market conditions and business goals in a timely and flexible manner.
- Support the timely, high frequency launch of various new products, in various categories across jewelry, apparel, and more.
- Manage all 3PL/ distribution warehouse operations and daily challenges associated with storing, kitting, and shipping products to customers in a timely and increasingly efficient ways
- Guarantee seamless delivery of any/all Retail/ Wholesale shipments to a growing number of B2B customers and tracking all relevant actions, paperwork, and processes necessary for fulfillment of those orders with strict adherence to vendor guidelines to ensure compliance with retailers.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align operational strategies with customer expectations. Facilitate open communication across departments to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
- Monitor customer feedback and operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
