Every month, we open up a new Heaven Girl jewelry box, a series where we step inside the world of a woman who embodies what we care about. How she dresses, what inspires her, and the way she moves through her days. This month, we're in Paris with content creator and stylist Layla Vanden Bergh, who has a good eye for the kind of piece that has already lived a whole life before it reaches you. That instinct made her a natural fit for our newest launch, Objects of Desire.
Meet Layla
Layla is an Australian and Māori stylist and creative based in Paris. Her work moves across fashion, jewelry, objects, and interiors, and the thread running through all of it is a love of considered form. "I'm particularly drawn to antiques, vintage, and archival pieces," she told us, "exploring the stories and craftsmanship they carry through a contemporary lens."
She also describes herself as fascinated by history, materiality, and "the quiet language of things." Honestly, that last phrase could be our whole brand brief. It's the reason her feed reads like a well-edited shelf rather than a feed.
On Life Right Now
We always ask for a life update, and Layla's came with real relief in it. The most exciting thing to happen lately: her visa was approved, which means she gets to keep building her work in Paris. "It's been one of the most challenging things I've ever experienced," she said, "so having that chapter finally fall into place feels incredibly special."
As for what's next, there are a few things in the works that she's very excited about, but she likes to keep a little mystery around her life. "I'll share when the time feels right."
Fall Style, According to Layla
Her fall mood is pretty clear: bold jewelry on a simple outfit, every time. Beyond that, she's reaching for diamonds and leather together, mid-length skirts with knee-high boots, leather pants, and a cummerbund or two. It's a tight, confident list, and it's a good reminder that the pieces doing the most work are usually the ones you can wear on repeat.

We asked Layla for her favorite item from the Objects of Desire launch, and she couldn't stick to one. "I'm really loving the vintage and asymmetric feel to these items," she said. "Feels so elevated but undone." Her short list: the Ocelot Necklace, the Coin Purse, and the Juno Bangle.

Layla's jewelry box is a study in contrast. A tasseled pendant on a long cord, black onyx drops, a structured black accessory, and a cream wrap top with a matching skirt, finished with a pointed black heel.
